Nico Tanigawa (谷川ニコ Tanigawa Nico) is a pseudonym for the author and artist of the manga WataMote. They have worked on several other manga, such as Kuzu to Megane to Bungaku Shoujo Nise, Number Girl, and Write Shimai. Not much is known about them. The author is the one depicted with glasses. Apparently, the artist is left-handed. According to the interviews, they met by working for the same company. They started doing dōjins before making the full-fledged manga Chokku! They claim to not be a romantic couple.[citation needed]
