[1/?] I. INTRODUCTION Setting socionics aside, let us talk about his MBTI. I don't understand why he would be relatively Ni dominant, but it would make sense if he was Te-Ni. Inferior Fi is incredibly obvious and here is why: [ INFERIOR FI ] Fi is about being highly aware of and true to one’s self and one’s ideals. Inferior Fi can surface as not being interested in understanding yourself or your emotions at all. Inferior Fi users may fail to explore their own emotions, seeing them as a weakness or a distraction. They may end up getting so lost in their goal or ambition that they lose all sense of self or end up going against their own moral code. They may struggle with crossing over their own personal boundaries or failing to define those boundaries at all. A Te dominant crutching heavily on Fi may become highly self-critical, and begin to over analyze self. They may become self-loathing as they begin to hone in on every personal failure that they can find. In addition, they may begin to take any criticism to who they are very personally. They may downplay their need for others and positive reinforcement, proclaiming openly they neither need people nor care what they think. ➣ https://practicaltyping.com/2019/09/17/the-inferior-functions-an-overview/ [ EXPLANATION ] My camera is full of Chevalier quotes just for this because I just knew it would be useful at some point. To start off, when we discuss the topic of love in the book Chevalier read, he specially says 'the way the book allegorically expresses emotions is fine, but the act itself of thinking deeply about love is foolish. The more deeply you examine love, the less it will seem any worth to you.' This aligns with what inferior fi is, as ExTJs with Fi lower in their stack will place little importance to emotions as they believe it is a weakness or a distraction. They will have difficulty confronting it. Another quote that clearly shows his disdain towards Fi is that 'not everyone is familiar with love. At the very least, to me it's a worthless, unnecessary emotion.' To further strengthen my argument, I will quote the conversation we had with him: MC: "So love doesn't matter to you, Prince Chevalier?" Chevalier: "Not at all." Chevalier: "A king doesn't need the likes of love." Chevalier: "Have you never read the story of the king who lost himself in love, which eventually led to his ruin?" MC: "Yes. For every story of a king destroyed by love, there's another in which love inspires a king to become an exceptional ruler." MC: "Something that motivates people to grow--isn't that the very core of love?" Chevalier: "The presence or absence of love has no bearing on one's political skill." Chevalier "Rather, a king must not harbor any emotion that could bring about chaos and turmoil." The whole conversation between the MC and Chevalier screams plenty of inferior Fi. [ EXTROVERTED THINKING ] Extroverted Thinking (Te) judges things based on objective, measurable facts from its environment, and arranges facts and conclusions into a logical formula or method. It is concerned with the logical arrangement of objects in accordance with this method, or even just in accordance with the facts themselves. One of Jung’s most essential claims on Te is that it fulfills its total life activities with logical conclusions, which connects with Michael Pierce’s notion that Te is focused on logical results. This premise is consistent with the idea that Te is noticeably goal-oriented, or results-oriented, and that one of its main qualities is efficiency. More will be said about this function in the Introverted Thinking (Ti) description, in the name of comparison. But in short, Te can be summarized as preferring the mechanical facts of a situation. ➣ https://drive.google.com/file/d/1acRZdgdQFie6TMU8IP9OFmlt9SjDW33a/view [ EXPLANATION PT II ] I am not one to be stereotypical, but Chevalier values efficiency quite a lot. He's also very result and goal-oriented. With the information I've gathered, Chevalier reads books to further broaden his knowledge and make logical and objective decisions based on it in the near future. Chevalier also states 'a book is a collection of knowledge. And acquiring knowledge is a way of arming oneself. No one is foolish enough to march into battle without a weapon, correct? It's the exact same concept.' He likes to make objective and logical decisions based on his relationship with the external environment. I would also like to point out that his way of thinking is very inductive. As I will provide a quote below: "Te is inductive because both Te and induction seek a posteriori knowledge, depending on empirically cogent conclusions that exist by virtue of their relationship with the outer world. Both Te and inductive reasoning are less precise and rigorous because there is no need to ensure necessity; the premises in an inductive argument are matter-of-fact and empirically evident rather than an implication that needs to be
