I personally think he's an ISTP because of the hinted TI>SE, I don't really think he uses NE because he's kind of an performer(?) idk how to say it, he has an practical intelligence letting him to do things without thinking so much, like the part when he just got out and shot the mans just by thinking like 10 seconds and saying "I will try my luck." etc. Auxiliary SE users are practical just like I said, and also they're action-oriented and Rei is one of them -to me.
