Edit 2: (Canto 5) Settled for INTP for now. He's definitely developing his Fe in that awkward, INTP way now that he's more comfortable. Never would've expected him to become the peacekeeper of the group... but he's trying his best. --- Edit after reading Canto 4: Hell, I didn't expect to relate to his story / viewpoints much. I suppose I'll keep to my principles of typing by when someone is most comfortable. Yi Sang was... INTP. He was happy performing his Ti-Ne stuff. Then shit went down and he gave up on Ne. Gave up on possibilities and moving forward not only because it hurts, but because his circumstances literally banned him- them- from invention. Ti-Si hyperfocused on his mirror because it's all he knew what to do. The poetic rambling thing now seems almost just like a quirk. Zero Fi. Did not care much about morals 'til the very end and just followed Gubo like some broken puppet. Perhaps its a manifestation of him actively trying to develop some opinions after experiencing that being led around isn't going to make him happy. (I feel ya bud.) I do see the Ni, but his Fe and Te are just too weak to be either INFJ or INTJ. Thus INTP. Ni was also relatively weak. He didn't exactly have some big picture he was striving for, even subconsciously. It's boosted by the presence of mirror as well. If I had some crystal ball, I'd develop some Ni sooner or later. ... I'm not confident about Enneagram, but does that mean he's a 9 like me? He just wanted peace, even at the expense of his beloved knowledge. After actually finishing the story: he really ended it with "whereever you are, I hope you find peace". He said the thing, not me. --- First take for comparison: Just got into the game and fooled by PDB yet again. What's this Fi ahh with the wrapper of an INTP? Yi Sang: "Burnt things are significant in their own ways. In truth, the state of being burnt might as well be an imaginary concept defined by man when the essence of an object has remained unchanged." Meursault: "Burnt refers to the condition in which a food item is discolored beyond a certain degree and produces an acrid smell after a prolonged exposure to high heat." I can see high Ti in some of his identities (knowledge seeking), but the essence of Yi Sang is literally his highly subjective, poetic interpretation of things.
