I don’t know why suddenly so many people start voting for INTJ. And the comment that leads them to INTJ is not original at all, just copy and paste. Is this “clone voting”? I couldn’t know about it. However, I will bring to here the reason why he is Si-user, not Ni: _ ISTJ may be portrayed as a “boring dad with no personality”, close-minded and always sticks to what they know. He doesn’t appear like that because he wants to expand his potential, so he can’t be ISTJ. There is nothing that could be more stereotyped than that. What will happen if this method ALREADY betrayed him in the past? Because of his intolerance toward possibilities, Seiya was forced to watch both his wife and children death before him. So he must develop Ne to some point, as a coping mechanism. _ Next, you may think he has Ni because he could predict the future and it is often right. This is wrong. Both ISTJ and INTJ could be very cautious, but something could be different. He is prone to overly prepared, overly killing every type of enemy. But even his explanation about his act in anime screams Si-Ne. Did he EVER narrow the possibilities to ONLY one? No, Seiya nearly never does this. Only since the Twisted Gaebeande arc begin, his use of Ne has improved to the point that he could bring Si and Te to eliminate some scenarios that are more likely to be untrue. Remembers why he could outplay Death Magra? Because he never thinks that he was a swordsman. He even said that just because someone brings a sword to the battlefield, it doesn’t always mean that they are swordsmen. If he was a Ni-dom, he will have had more chances to lose this battle. Ni-doms are “tunnel-vision” thinkers, who often want to narrow down the possibilities in their heads. In the fight with Death Magra, this way of thinking would backfire _ Thirdly, others may think he was INTJ because of his ways of fighting. Sure, Seiya uses summons a lot, but this is not Se-inf (prefer not to get things physically). It purely comes from Te. Being an ISTJ doesn’t mean that he needs to be completely physical in his approach (this trait belongs to high Se-users). Summons gives him so many advantages: they can stay for days without depending on his energy (he can easily wipe weak enemies even without the need to cost HP and MP), judge how strong enemy is (strong one could defeat them in a second), scouting on enemies place (an overly cautious version of Si-dom truly need to know who they deal with first),... _ Fourthly, his approach to things is more like ISTJ than INTJ. For example, look at chapter 101. In this part, he was talking to his allies about his next step. He has two choices to choose now: attack Death Emperor Silshete and Demon King Ultimaeus will have time to fully awaken or attack Artemaeus with a risk that Silshete would reunite with him at any time. He chooses the first choice, and this proves that Seiya is ISTJ over INTJ. An INTJ (even an overly cautious one) would take a stereotypical “intuitive leap” at this point. If he was INTJ, his strategy would be “use tricks to deceive Silshete, then rapidly strike at Artemaeus right before he has any chance to arise”. This action will completely cut off Evil God Blessing in the whole of Ixphoria so that he could easily strike back at Silshete and send him to hell. When the demon king charged power, disrupting it will make him a lot weaker and easier to kill. But this is not him. _ Finally, excessive use of Ne really stresses him out. In Ixphoria arc, he overuses it to find a way to save Kiriko's life. He tries every possibility, hopes to get rid of her curse, but all of them are useless. In the later phase of this arc, he is in Ne-grip. All of his other functions were close to “shut-off” completely. In chapter 114, he was too fixated on how to both defeat the demon king and save Kiriko so much that he didn’t even notice Arx in front of him. You may think this is Se-inf, but Ne-grip of Ne-inf could make them become like this too. Even in normal cases, ISTJ isn’t always focused excessively on the environment like high Se types are. And at that time, Seiya was nearly insane because of stress, but still trying to hide it. And if you still think that he is Se-inferior, take a look at chapter 109 part 2. Right when Silshete uses Cemetery Night, every dead monster will resurrect as half-dead. And what appears next? Only a few monsters he “clean” when he was still adapting to use Endless Fall to dispose of corpses. This requires a lot of attentiveness to detail because he already killed thousand of beasts and Killing Machines before. I think INTJ would leave more “uncleaned” enemies than that. Ni-dom are good at vision and insight, but not as good as that if it comes to details.
