Spoilers ahead (from near the end of the manga) He's pretty excitable for an INTJ, but that's understandable considering the media in which he's presented, and he certainly leads with Ni. After meeting the girl in Kyoto, he focuses his whole life on accomplishing goals which are related to making himself into the model of what he considers a perfect person. His obsession with studying, and later working, is completely ruled by this ideal. This is the nearly obsessive "visionary" archetype personified by all real life Ni dominant people to a lesser extent. While this vision is presented as coming from a memory, making it seem like he'd lead with Si, he made the decision to be who he later became during the memory, since his view of reality was changed during that experience. Fuutarou is shown at multiple points in the story to be coming to conclusions based on memory, which, on the surface, seems to indicate Si. However, people of any type can have good memories; it's just that good memories are more common among certain types, and the style of a person's memory is certainly controlled by their type. Fuutarou probably stores the memories as instances which stand out to him in order for his brain to build an idea of a larger pattern, which is typical of Ni users, especially Ni dominants.
