I’ve seen people saying she’s not an enneagram 9 just because she doesn’t “seek peace”, but typing people’s enneagram by core fears and desires is not the best way to type someone, as they are not as accurate. Looking into someone’s defense mechanisms, ego fixations/traps, passions, and type structures are much better ways to type someone. For example enneagram 9s defense mechanism is narcotization, meaning they basically numb themselves to avoid feeling strong feelings or feelings that are too painful. Their fixation is indolence, causing them to be lazy towards their own needs and feelings. Their trap is Seeker, seeking outside themselves for solutions to their problems. These are all very simplified descriptions but I think they describe Rue very well.
