Fi-Te is pretty obvious I think. She’s incredibly in tune with her emotions and what she wants, in a way that when she talks about them you get the impression that she’s basically her own therapist. What differentiates her from an INFJ is that INFJ has tert Ti that lets them view their emotions through a more detached and analytical manner, which Makie is the opposite of, as she’s deeply involved with how she feels and how she feels personally often dictate her actions a lot in the story, so Fe is definitely impossible. Inf Te because despite her deep understanding of her own experiences, she often expresses difficulty in coming up with the necessary steps to achieve these emotional needs. Her inf Te can also be glimpsed through her fights I think, as fighting is a high-stress activity and as such requires her to suppress her usual emotional self (almost like overcompensation), but it’s obvious this is not her default mode of operation because she prefers to spare her enemies if the situation allows it. The point of contention lies in whether she has Se-Ni or Ne-Si, and that can be settled a lot easier if we compare her to Rin. Both Rin and Makie are dom Fi and inf Te as they both possess an acute understanding of the emotional happenings inside themselves and others. Where Rin differs is that she has tert Ni, which in stress makes her ruminates over the future ramifications of her actions more. When she’s healthy, Rin channels her aux Se, manipulating and taking advantage of her physical, tangible happenings to achieve the outcome she wants (re: Manji’s prison arc). Basically, Rin has a specific idea of how she wants her life to look, even under duress (Se-Ni), whereas Makie is a little more open-minded and less focused in that regard (Ne-Si). Makie also obsesses over the consequences of her actions, but they’re less fueled by a future vision and more of past patterns she already encountered. Her ideas came from exchanging with others rather than pure observations (Ne). In that regard, she’s incredibly passive in her pursuit and needs a lot of nudging to commit to any of her many wants. She needed verbal and ideological encouragement from her exchange with Rin and Anotsu to fully commit to something. She’s also afraid of reinforcing others’ past impressions of her, namely her mother’s image of a swordsman (Si) and as a bringer of omen to her loved ones, as stated by herself during chapters 70-72. 4w5 is pretty accurate imo, shame is pretty obvious in her obsession with her image of herself and how others perceive her. Wing 5 makes her withdrawn during stress, which we’re shown to be a pattern throughout the story.
