Spoilers for Mouthwashing -----### it's so hard to type her is because she's trapped with her abuser for a majority of the game. We're stuck with Jimmy's perspective, never hearing her actual thoughts and opinions, which is probably going to be pretty stifling. This isn't what she's probably like under most circumstances, is it? Like, she might be trying to placate Jimmy but that's because she's trying to keep the unreasonable ******* from flipping tf out. Despite never knowing much about her, is it weird I find her the most interesting? Welp doesn't matter. Into the analysis ramble. INFP is the second most popular vote rn. it's a fair guess, but where has Anya shown signs of Ne usage? Can't really pin down any examples, and that's pretty weird for a supposed Ne-aux According to Daisuke she had been reading the same safety manual over and over to get a good idea of how things worked around the Tulpar. Anya has many good ideas (in fact her ideas are the most useful ones) but they are practical, grounded, usually drawing off established information and common sense. I mean she's clearly very pragmatic but there's not a lot about her exploring other possibilities while applying her knowlege . In fact her assuming the worst-case scenario when it came to Jimmy looks like an example of Ne-inf. She was 100% right though. Smart girl. I don't really get the arguments for Fi either. most of her actions are motivated by self-preservation not because it's in her moral code. "She killed herself because she didn't want Jimmy to control her" Fe users still want autonomy man...and it's a very sensitive situation. They're running out of food and water, there's low chance of rescue, Jimmy is getting more and more unreasonable. I don't really think this has much to do with Fi. She also has been keeping quiet about her pregnancy for a while even after the crash. It is entirely reasonable to think this is because she's scared and feels she can't trust anyone else, but it's also completely possible this was also for the sake of the rest of the crew. She seems to value keeping the peace rather than warning the rest of the crew about Jimmy. Daisuke never learns about it, it takes 2 months to confide in Swansea. Again, this isn't necessarily about her having Fe because she's understandably afraid of Jimmy and I hope this doesn't come off as me blaming her. I know she doesn't have much of a choice in this sh/tty situation. I just thought a Fi-user would be more open to warning, say, Daisuke about Jimmy because otherwise Daisuke could be IN DANGER or left susceptible to manipulation (which is exactly what happened) I'm not blaming her for Daisuke's death. Jimmy is responsible for Jimmy's actions. it's just that this does kinda mirror how Curly risked Anya (even if he had no malice towards her) to keep the peace and placate the abuser. Not to compare traumas though, but Anya's situation post-crash was explicitly worse than Curly and Jimmy pre-crash so..yeah. She's also been quietly keeping it together before the crash. Bottom of the "Lend a Hand" poster implies the whole crew gets punished for an HR complaint, and Anya only ever takes action once the crew learns they're fired and Jimmy has a violent outburst at the dinner table (Slamming the table? Lashing out at Curly?) Adding to that, without a test, the earliest you can find out you're pregnant is 1-5 weeks. She only tells Curly less than 4 days before Jimmy crashes the ship. My final argument for ISFJ is that she was based off of Shelley Duvall's portrayal of Wendy Torrance. lmao I'm not completely serious but yeah. Whatever type she is, she's very dear to me because of how the writers sort of bait-and-switch you for assuming she's going to be some hysterical woman (not me though i'm different) just because she's nervous and sensitive. As soon as you look past Jimmy's perspective you see she's just so proactive and clever and silly and kind-hearted asf. He views her with the same 2d disdain I've seen a lot of certain men hold women (especially ISFJ women tbh) in, even though he's the one who forces her to shrink herself.
