Andre and Cal are obviously supposed to represent Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, two seniors who were the perpetrators of the Columbine High School massacre which took place on April 20th, 1999. Of course, they are their own characters, but the foundation of which they were built were obviously off of Harris and Klebold. Andre to me, seems like an INTJ, just like Eric Harris, he’s the one who takes the lead in orchestrating and planning the attack. Like Eric, he has a lot of anger he holds inside (to be fair, they both do), while Cal definitely seems like an INFP to me, just like Dylan Klebold. He’s quiet, very artsy, in his own head, insightful and likes to write poems and what not (another similarity with Dylan is that Dylan went to prom but Eric didn’t. In the film, Cal goes to prom, but Andre doesn’t.) Regardless of whether Cal is an ISFP or INFP, there’s no doubt he’s a Fi Dom. Especially when they break into Andre’s cousins house to steal the guns, Cal is concerned that the cousin will be blamed for it, so he makes a point during the last recording before the terrible shooting takes place telling authorities that Andre’s cousin knew nothing about it. (Which I find very interesting as he shares sympathy for Andre’s cousin but than doesn’t hesitate with the students) also during the Columbine Massacre, it was noted by many that Dylan was very loud and angry while Eric was a bit more quiet and matter of fact. We see this in Zero Day as well, during the shooting Cal is very loud and angry while Andre is much more quiet and collected. He still talks but he isn’t being loud or shouting like Cal.
