Okay, now that I think about it, I highly doubt that he has either inferior Ti or Ni. He uses both so much; there's no way that they're a weakness for him. What IS his weakness, however, is connecting to the objective real world. He's so stuck in his "everything happens for a reason!" world that he can't see things for the objectively horrible experiences they are. I think he's definitely a social extrovert, but as for functions I'd say Ni > Fe = Ti >>>>> Se, or an INFJ. A breakdown of his functions: • Ni: he's always pulling ideas out of his a$$; they're not based on observation like Si would be. He assumes that his great vision of the world is real, without any tangible proof. (Essentially, a really dumb Ni user.) • Fe: I can't speak as much for his Fe, but his unending optimism is revealed to be a front at the end of the book. He continues to put on a show because it's too late to back down now, in front of his student who doubts him. • Ti: Everything makes sense, in his framework. He will do anything and everything to demonstrate how everything is connected/how everything happens to the best, using subjective logic that makes sense to him, but not to Candide, who does not use TiFe. • Se: He has absolutely terrible Se; he struggles to live in the moment, living in a world of philosophy/ideals while ignoring the very real things happening to him (losing parts of his body to syphilis, literally getting hung, etc.) Everything that happens to him is interpreted in an abstract way (dom Ni) without acknowledging real-world cause and effect.
