I'm possibly being rather emotional-biased here, considering that this is my favorite book, but I’ve read Giovanni’s Room four times already and David’s dominant Ni was extremely, extremely clear to me every single time. I would judge that, by the narrative's time, he is an INTJ in a Ni-Fi loop, using his Te in a rather non-practical way and with his Se both disbalanced and repressed - most of it resulting from his childhood traumas, yada. He is also hyper analytical, yet kinda fatalistic in his view for the future. As for the INTP votes, I see no Fe or Si at all, but Ti and Ni CAN be confusing in storytelling contexts. But again, I could be wrong and would love to see more discussion about this wonderful piece of media. “For I am—or I was—one of those people who pride themselves on their willpower, on their ability to make a decision and carry it through.
