I think Aki is 9 rather than a 7 core. The defense mechanisms of both are similar, running away, thats why its easy to confused them which is why Id like to highlight that Aki was never confrontational with his problems, rather he was laying low and didnt like to cause any more troubles. *spoilers* He ran away from Uge by playing the drums, he wanted a different sound and that was that. Him sleeping with other people was because he needed a place to stay every time Ugetsu threw him out, he wasnt doing it because he purely needed a release. *You can also see him disintegrate into a 6 in the latest chapters, being anxious and clingy towards Haruki (*see edit) I also think Aki is a 3 rather than a 4. Change is big with Akihiko and he goes out all the time but what makes him a 3 is that his change is linear. *spoilers* Aki slowly stopped playing as much as he did because of Uge. This wasnt a matter of Uge stealing his identity but rather he was amused by Uge’s sound, the passion and feeling it had. He wanted that for himself, an ideal version. His passion for the violin never stopped there, yes he diverted his time and invested into drums but he was still a violin major (no major change can also attribute to how he’s not 7 core) and even now on the latest update, he plans to make money out of it and become successful. Perhaps because of artistry, self-expression through music, and creativity he was voted as 4 so I’d like to point out that Akihiko started playing the violin as a child and his father is a violinist in Europe. Artistry was and is valued, he pushed himself and we can see that, he usually wins 1st or 2nd place in violin competitions during his 1st year in high school *EDIT: I created a new comment talking bout disintegration 6 and integration 3 to emphasize on him being a 9! Akihiko Kaji (梶 秋彦 Kaji Akihiko) is one of the two deuteragonists and is a college student in Given. The band's drummer, Akihiko is also rather gifted in the violin, guitar, and bass.
