This stage characterizes material ambition, though often with the cause of various long term side effects, such as poverty or climate change. With it many discoveries for medicine, for safety, for travel, for entertainment, for education, for building, and more are made, but with it a devaluing of the heart as lower than the intellect, rather than its equal. A Stage Orange person might very well agree with the statistics of poverty and climate change, but that doesn’t mean they will do anything about it. The dominant stage in the developed world, people today suffer from mental health effects from constantly being pressured to abide by status and to work. Worth is constantly judged by your accomplishments, though the rational philosophy for basic human rights gets discovered here, though the motivation is often still lacking.
