ok ok ok. so i just typed out a draft of this at like 3:30 am sorry if any of this is weird or off the mark BUT. i think one thing that makes it extremely clear noelle is NOT an ISFJ or Fe user at all is her feelings and perceptions on other people, most prominently susie, ESPECIALLY compared to those of actual Fe users. some might argue that her perception of susie somehow indicates Fe use, but, if anything, it indicates the OPPOSITE of Fe use. no matter how idealistic or wanting to see the best in others an Fe user is, they would never uncritically admire and think VERY, VERY highly of someone like susie, who is widely known to be a loner, outcast, and bully, and never talks to anyone or doesn't at all seem to care about other people. you can tell noelle about susie slamming you into lockers and though she may offer to take your place, this barely seems to make a dent in her opinion of susie. noelle doesn't NOT care that susie is capable or hurting others and even her, but fails to take it too close to heart because of how much she personally feels about susie. idealization of a particular person, no matter how they're generally seen or what is pointed out about them by others or even concretely observed, is actually a very understated aspect of FI-NE. Fi-Ne users are very prone to seeing people for their POTENTIAL over taking their present and concrete actions into account above all else, which makes them very accepting and the most likely people to allow that potential to genuinely flourish, but can blind them to their flaws and make them act unsensibly forgiving and even dismissive of their actual behavior and actions, letting them get away with too much. noelle does this with susie, berdly, and even kris in the snowgrave route. even if their actions are objectionable, uncomfortable, or even awful, she constantly tries to rationalize them as variations of "not being that bad" or "just wanting good things for her".
