𝐖𝐇𝐘 𝐉𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐒 𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐒𝐅𝐉 (1/2) When I first got into SEVENTEEN, I thought that it was unlikely for Jeonghan to be an Ne inferior type due to his seemingly chaotic moments. After researching him more, I actually agree with the ISFJ consensus. Ne inferior suits him well due to how change averse he is because hes allways trying to maintain previous sensations. (Beware of grammar and spelling mistakes) "I always feel nervous and excited any time we make a comeback, but seeing how this album’s different from SEVENTEEN’s other albums, I’m more nervous this time, I think. And the members had a ton of meetings about this album. It’s got a major pop twist to it and the whole thing’s about love. But the members had to think a lot about how to express that since love is full of so many different meanings." Si domiant types will feel uncomfortable if the new experience doesnt pair up well with the sensory data they've previously collected. Si will "open up" to Ne infeior when they feel they have a responsibility. We can see this with Jeonghan when he has to expand on what love means in order to fufill his duty. "That’s right. Our musical style has changed, and as I tried to express my feelings about love, I also thought about how to emphasize the most important points. You have to be satisfied with how accurately you’re expressing yourself the way you want to if the final product’s going to be any good, so we kept making changes to the song and choreography to make sure they worked well together." This is a good example of balanced Fe-Ti. You can see Fe's way of wanting to outwardly express and have an emotional impact, while also seeking logical accuracy and precision. "I tried really hard to always live a full life. I liked it when my day off would consist of working out, taking lessons and then finishing up around eight or nine o’clock. I felt anxious if I had a three- or four-hour gap. I hated it. After that I thought I better take it easy for a while, but these days I feel like I should work a little harder. You can find videos like “the habits of successful people” on YouTube. Maybe I was partly influenced by those kind of videos. (laughs)" Si doms like it when there life stays consistent with what they allways do. IfJeonghan was an ESFJ (Ne tertiary), I dont think he wouldnt "know what to do" or "feel anxious" when his routine is interrupted. If we compare him to Mingyu, an ESFJ, he also heavily relies on routines, and maintaining previous sensations, but when those sensations are interrupted, he finds new ways and ideas I to make up for it rather quickly. It takes Jeonghan a lot longer to "open up" to Ne. "Although I’m working hard now, I thought I could make myself a better person in my free time as well, like when I’m waiting around for things. Around that time I randomly saw a YouTube video and suddenly realized that just because I’m making more money doesn’t mean I’m more grown up. But I don’t think I’ll make too many changes at once. (laughs) I’m changing little by little because I think I’m more likely to fail if I try to change too much at once." Here we can observe Si's need to take change slow at the cost of stability being interrupted. >I think we really got to see what role you play in the “ONE MILLION WON” episode of GOING SEVENTEEN. You had to get each of the other 12 members on your side to win, so you tried to persuade each of them in a different way. JEONGHAN: We’ve lived together for a long time, which requires consideration and respect, so I ended up being careful about everything. Some people might be okay with a joke to a point, while others could get upset by it. So naturally I understand the other members and know who’s most likely to be convinced to come over to my side. We can see a high Pi function is in usage here, in the way that he carefully observes the situation to gather information, while using Fe to consider what and what isnt socially appropriate. >What criteria did you use to persuade them? When HOSHI said to you, “Let’s make history,” it seemed like you’d chosen a suitable way to persuade him, somehow. (laughs) "JEONGHAN: Everyone has their own set of values, and while some of the members just see the show as a show, some of them don’t. That’s what I was thinking about there. For the ones who see the show as just a show, I say, It’s just a show—let’s not worry about it too much. But for the more serious members, I have to tell them I respect them, or just tell them to do whatever they want, because I’m in a situation where I’m asking them to betray the others, so if I don’t address it that way, I’m making them feel guilty. I was also happy that it was an ending that everyone could like." This is Fe's way of adjusting and molding their perosanlity based on other peoples emotions. Jeonghan does this as away to maintain external harmony.
