I don't really know what type Weiss is, but I would argue that it's clearly not one with a penchant for Ti. The main complaints about GoT falling apart after he and Benioff ran out of novels to adapt was the lack of logical consistency. This shows that they are a horrible choice to have any role in adapting Cixin Liu's Three-Body Problem series, because the series' appeal hangs almost entirely on Ti. Maybe they can ride on Liu's coattails, but I imagine they will take a similar approach to GoT where they neuter the harder sci-fi aspects in an attempt to appeal to "mainstream viewers."
