Scott Samuel "Scooter" Braun (born June 18, 1981) is an American entrepreneur, talent manager, investor, philanthropist, and entertainment executive. The founder of entertainment and media company SB Projects, Braun represents most notably Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, among other artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen, Hilary Duff, Demi Lovato and Tori Kelly among others. On June 30, 2019, it was announced that Ithaca Holdings had acquired Big Machine Label Group. Its founder Scott Borchetta remains with the company as CEO, and as a minority shareholder in Ithaca. In response to the sale, singer Taylor Swift, who had previously been signed to Big Machine Records, spoke out against Braun in an online post, criticizing his now ownership of her first six albums.
