ESFJ? No way. I interpret his character as a quick-witted, friendly ISTP. ESFJ wouldn't need to be told by Charlotte, the ISFJ, appropriate manners in certain public situations (Bobby Fine and Mitsy's wedding party at Richard's Hampton Beach mansion). Nor would she have to explain to him not to watch the tv during their special Sunday dinner, or to not leave his tea bags around. This is all Ti Se and inferior Fe behavior. He doesn't even think any of it would ever be a thing. She even has him wax his back before the pool party. I'm pretty sure an xSFJ wouldn't make so many social faux-pas and would probably think to wax their back themselves before a fancy party and not have to be told lol. Harry literally doesn't care what people think of him. Another example against ESFJ is when Charlotte has them take pictures for the wedding section of the paper he finds it odd and criticizes the idea of them sitting on a rock in the park in suits. This is Ti dom humor, not Fe dom. All of the things he does, doesn't do and criticizes point to a low Fe and no Si when it comes to social norms, expectations and customs or traditions. The only thing that might make people think he's an xSFJ is that he wants to marry a Jewish person but that's not a big enough argument especially since he said he's just wanting to do it for his mother. Istps can care about what their mothers want too. That goes for any type really if they love and respect their wishes.
