Camilla is an ESFJ SX9w8, not a SX2. She's such an E9 character that it actually hurts. Camilla is firmly built on a maternal instinct or a desire to feel safe and belonging among people, with her biggest fear being the loss of her loved ones and being along. The fear of an E2 is to not be loved among people and hated, while the fear of an E9 is to not have a place to belong or be at peace with themselves. While Camilla is definitely more aggressive than your usual E9, I think it makes perfect sense when you recall how driven she is by her need to feel a part of the group. She encourages Corrin to stop fighting in Chapter 13 after his attempt to save the Chevois rebellion goes up in flames, distances herself emotionally between "modes" (the loving, doting maternal figure and furious person) and wants people to know nobody can mess with her family, but despite these modes she can be deeply distant and afraid of feelings of departure from others' she's close to from the next. SX2 ultimately craves control over other people that's their mates, SX9 wants people to tell them it's okay and that they'll be alright: ~ Camilla: Corrin... I know you're upset, but we need to report back to Father. He'll be angry if we keep him waiting. I'll summon a messenger. Corrin: Camilla! How can you be so calm at a time like this? Part of her character arc is learning to break out of this codependency and make her own choices without giving it unto others, as she's driven by her fears of loss overall as a character and is one of the most devastated upon loss. She even passes up on being the next queen of Nohr in Conquest due to not feeling she's up for it, a trait that's completely identified as E9. An E2 wouldn't pass the opportunity if they felt able for it, while an E9 avoids a leadership role. Trying to type her as E2 is rooted in stereotypes of the character and misses how dependent she is on validation. A really well-written character that's screwed over by her design, tbh. It took me a friend who's a mega Camilla fan to realize her depths and not just being a worse Charlotte!

Eldest daughter of the Nohr royal family and Xander's younger sister. Seductive and elegant, but also merciless when she chooses to be, Camilla acts as a protective, motherly figure to her siblings. She dotes heavily on Corrin in particular, to the point where she would be willing to kill anyone who threatens them. Enjoys taking baths and visiting hot springs the most. Her birthday is November 30th.
