Personalità

"Che tipo di personalità è Chris Redfield? Chris Redfield è un tipo di personalità ESTJ in mbti, 6w5 - sp/so - 612 in enneagram, SCOAN in big 5, LSE in socionics."

Te and Fe are confused sometimes because they both are extroverted judging functions, so they focus on the outside world. Both of them can have a great view on groups. Fe values the best for the group and for its harmony (the values inside this group matters and will be taken into account to make decisions and judgments to reach external harmony). Te can also seek what is best for the group, but it doesn’t matter the actual beliefs of this group. The person will do what they believe it’s better for the group within their own personal values. The Te user tends to look for good results, not considering the procedure. When balanced with Fi, the person has its own way to reach the goal inside its values (which can be objectively good or not). Fe and Te both can care about the group they are part of, but will focus on different ways to deal with the situation. Chris values his relationships and will try to maintain harmony between him and his comrades (him being an obvious type 6 shows that, he looks for support in others and give his support to others to feel secure). I believe the he does seek harmony for his group, mostly because he’s a soldier (and he leads as a captain), he seeks harmony in the group for efficiency, to get things done and for his need to feel secure. He respects his group’s values, but he will deviate from its values if it gets better results (Te dom) or if it hits his personal beliefs or something that personally matters to him (inferior Fi), snapping out of it when facts are given to him so he can do what is best. For instance, in RE5, his whole Jill situation was pretty much his Te > Fi, wanting to move with the mission and getting things done, trying to put aside his “partner situation” with Jill and working along with Sheva. But when he finds Jill alive, he wanted to save her first instead of saving the world, until Jill put some sense into him again. In RE6, when he wanted to seek “vengeance” against “Ada”, Leon was the one who said he would do the right thing since they needed “Ada”. He put his grudge behind to follow through on what would work best, so he now looks for justice (like his old self always did). In RE8, he’s constantly trying to not get Ethan involved in the mission so he can get better results. When Ethan did get involved and was almost dying, Chris tried to save him. But, as soon as he noticed that there was no use on trying to convince Ethan to leave with him, Chris gets out of there, not looking back. And even with Mia demanding him answers, he just ignores her to get them out of there, he waits until the explosion to “explain” to her what happened. Chris cares about the results and tries not to let his personal issues get to him, but when it does, he tries his maximum to focus on what will be the best and what is need to be done. In RE8, his TeSi is very clear. There’re plenty of ESTJs (and high Te users) with good values that want to “make the world better” and want to “save people” (and a lot of high Te users that are very invested to protect their groups/loved ones). People are able to be good and emotional without being a Fe user. To see what fits better, I believe it helps looking at the complement function. Fe would have Ti; Te would have Fi: 1. Is Chris someone who highly values external harmony (Fe) and when analyzing a situation will start his judgment based on those external values and how they adapt into his own logic to solve a situation (Ti) to maintain the group harmony? And when stressed, will he try to justify his actions on group values that makes sense to him? (Fe/Ti) 2. Or is Chris someone who starts his judgments basing them on external structured data (Te), wanting to maximize the results to satisfy himself and his group within his own personal beliefs (Fi)? And when he’s stressed, will he use personal beliefs to justify his goals/actions? (Te/Fi) I believe it’s the second.
