"Che tipo di personalità è Freddy Krueger? Freddy Krueger è un tipo di personalità ENTP in mbti, 7w8 - sx/sp - 784 in enneagram, SCUEI in big 5, ILE in socionics."
I have horrible news. I was wrong in one regard in my previous comments. 1. In short, Freddy is still probably an ENTP in the original film. Although, I still don't think he is an ENTP in new nightmare. That one isn't really the same character though. He is more of a demonic cosplayer. 2.) Okay, so let me explain why I changed my mind about Freddy being an ENTP in the first film instead of an ESTP. For one, I rewatched the first film. The Ne isn't as obvious as it is in the later films, but it is still there. It makes sense because I'm pretty sure Wes Craven is an INTP (that or INFP), and so I am not surprised that his ENTP creation would have slightly toned down Ne. This was the film where he likely had the most control over the character. 3.) After the first film, I think it is very likely that more people got involved in Freddy's portrayal. The person who probably had the strongest growing influence on this facet of the films was Robert Englund. I think is pretty much undeniable that he had a huge influence on the character he played. Englund cared about the character and it shows. I don't know too much about the actor outside of these films, but it wouldn't surprise me if that is why so people type him as ENTP. I assumed that the Ne became more obvious in the later films because an ENTP was playing him. I do not think so anymore. 4.) The Ne in the later films is too obvious. I mean Freddy is almost silly with his Ne. Honestly, the best way I can describe it is that Freddy becomes more childish. This isn't how Ne dom works. I mean of course, Ne doms can be silly. Everyone can be silly. However, Ne doms take Ne seriously. They take time considering different ideas, perspectives, and philosophies. It isn't something they play with, but instead, it is a way of life for them. This confused me because Freddy didn't seem to be taken his Ne very seriously. Again, it was just too playful. His approach fits more with Tert Ne than dominant. ESXJs take Ne less seriously than ENTPs. They are much more playful with the function. I wondered if Freddy had changed types, but I do think he has remained an ENTP throughout the original series. So, what changed? 5.) I think I was right to think the change was primarily due to Robert Englund, but wrong to assume that Englund is an ENTP. He isn't. He is an ESXJ (probably ESFJ). This is why the Ne seems a bit more silly as the films go on. It is a tert Ne's interpretation of an Ne dom. It is an ESFJ actor who is playing an ENTP and doing it well, but adding his own sense of Ne to the point that the character seems a bit different than ENTPs in real life. 6.) So basically, I think Freddy is an ENTP, but one whose approach to Ne is a little bit different than most Ne doms in real life. None of this is helped by the number of ESXJs who get mistyped as Ne doms because the stereotypes about those types can be vicious.
