Edin Džeko is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a striker and captains both Super Lig club Fenerbahce and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team. Džeko was named Bosnian Footballer of the Year for three years in a row. He is Bosnia's all-time leading goal scorer with 59 goals and 117 caps. That's 34 more goals than Misimović's previous record. He has been nicknamed "Bosnian Diamond" or simply "Diamond" (Dijamant) by football fans and journalists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Before playing for Fenerbahce, he played for Manchester City, Roma, Inter and Wolfsburg and won 9 trophies in total. He also played for Teplice, Usti nad Labem and Zeljeznicar.
