I’m so confused how people can type him as an Se dom when he is clearly exhibiting an unhealthy Si grip throughout the movie. He was incredibly caught up in the past and with his Fe-child felt enraged that the world no longer provided him with the attention and acceptance that he once obtained when he was a prominent-child actor. His Si grip led him to constantly hit a replay button in his mind on the events from his past and try to analyze with his Ti why he was not beloved anymore. He expressed “How could Hollywood cancel a show that produced toys like this Clive? Evil Bratt was a masterpiece…does nobody value true art anymore?!” Due to his aux Ti, the choices of the Hollywood industry and public audience made no sense to him as he viewed his merchandise as a worthy product. He could find no flaws within it and deemed it perfect. Ne dom is quite clear as well since he often lived within a fantasy he created in his head. This was noted in the opening minutes of the movie by the newscaster stating “Bratt quickly plunged into a downward spiral, starting to actually believe he WAS the character he played on screen.” An Se dom is grounded within the present moment while Bratt is the opposite of this. His child character on-screen was one who was a “prodigy and criminal mastermind bent on World Domination” and Bratt continued to keep up his persona well into his adult years due to his Si grip. All of his moves and behavior throughout his heists were also all connected to his Si past (retro music, break dancing, repeating the phrase “I’ve been a Bad Boy” etc.)

Balthazar Bratt is a former child star that turned to a life as a supervillain in revenge for his TV series being cancelled. He appears in Illumination's eighth feature film Despicable Me 3 and is voiced by Trey Parker.
