Personalità

"Che tipo di personalità è Lorenzo de' Medici (Lorenzo the Magnificent)? Lorenzo de' Medici (Lorenzo the Magnificent) è un tipo di personalità ENFJ in mbti, 1w2 - so/sx - 721 in enneagram, in big 5, EIE in socionics."

In WHAT world is this guy an ENTJ? Certainly not this one. Where is the dom Te and inferior Fi? If he had inferior Fi, he would have an easier time suppressing it, but ESTP Giuliani in constantly criticizing him for NOT doing so. "The only way to thrive in the real world, a world of sin, it to do what Cosimo [(INTJ)] did and be a more ruthless sinner than your enemy." In what reality does an ENTJ not get this instinctively? Even Te terts understand this. The character growth of Te doms isn't to embrace this but to soften and properly direct it by NOT ignoring their Fi. Also, ENTJs quickly understand INTJ solutions like ENFJs understand INFJ ones. Lorenzo's whole relationship with Giuliano is frayed because Giuliano reads Lorenzo's Fe dom need for harmony with everyone as Lorenzo trying to replace Giuliano as a brother. Clear conflict between the driving force of Fe dom and playful but not identity-defining Fe tert. This is also a criticism of Fe doms generally. When you try to make everyone feel special and appreciated, it can mean that no one does. Lorenzo ONLY uses anything resembling Te when he hides in the dark, mostly in season 2, so that people don't like him less because of his use of his cold Ti. In other words, he is Ti suppressing by nature, and only properly integrates his Ti in difficult situations when he feels like he's not being judged for it. John B. in Outer Banks acts similarly at the start of Season 2 of that show, displaying the noble hypocrisy of Fe doms/FJs. He's pressured into perfection as the family scion from an early age, but he wears that cloak of perfection despite its weight because he wants to make his family happy as a harmony driven person. An ENTJ might feel the same pressure, but their baby FI would establish boundaries around these expectations significantly earlier in life. Like, come on, how is it pragmatic to sell "perfection" as your identity? The first failure you have in life exposes you tremendously. This is clearly suppressed thinking at work. Both ENFJs and ENTJs use Fe and Te, yes, but there is a difference between using a function and being completely driven by it. Under Lorenzo's leadership, the Medici bank fell apart, but the political wing of the flourished more than ever. This speaks to the motivating interest he has in Fe rather than Te. He has a natural inclination to managing the relationships among people rather than managing resources for a cause. Very much a Beta vs Gamma quadra divide in socionics. His Fe is absolutely unmistakable in his interactions with Clarice. For example: "If you give me your heart, I promise to take care of it." I could not imagine a better encapsulation of Fe in a single sentence than this. Fi is about managing one's own internal emotions and values (subjective feeling), while Fe is about managing external emotions and values (objective feeling). Some of you are losing the plot by thinking in terms of stereotypes about the archetypes instead of actually looking at character motivations like you should be. The same flawed thinking is present on the Jerry McGuire page (yes, the Tom Cruise role). Clear ENFJ supressing Ti there too, but he's a businessman so people type him as ENTJ. GTFO with that shallow thinking. Season 1 literally shows you a Te dom villain (Sean Bean acting as essentially a manifestation of Lorenzo's superego) criticizing him for first holding back pragmatism because of Fe then criticizes him while on death's door for becoming a hypocrite because of it. If Lorenzo were a Te dom, after the assassination attempt on his father, he would have assassinated Sean Bean while keeping his involvement quiet and trying to build a relationship with the inheritor of the role. Instead, he lets Sean Bean go scott free to constantly undermine him and the peace he tries to build with Sean Bean's nephew or whatever. Like where is the critical thinking (Ti)? Lorenzo is all half-measures in the beginning because he's Ti ignoring. How is suppressed thinking characteristic of a young Te dom? Just read about young Tywin Lannister and see how different that sort of character is. Tywin was constantly rebelling from his father TO assert his Te without any real regard for Fe consequences, which ultimately proves to be his downfall. This is similar to but not the same as this interpretation of Lorenzo pushing Fe much longer than he should have without properly applying Te like his brother advised, leading to the death of his brother. This Lorenzo turns Florence into a murder cult right after his brother's death because he leans into his INFP victim shadow like ENFJ Harvey Dent in the Dark Knight. People follow him because of all the different Fe-driven favors/philanthropy he did, which made it easy to paint his enemies as villains deserving retribution in contrast to his own seemingly angelic family, who left Te by the wayside with his ISFP father. ENTJ voters, please let me try whatever it is you've all been smoking.
