Many people see ENTP in him and I don't blame them. Sometimes Littlefinger does put out ENTP persona when he engages socially, but is he really the one? In order to answer the question, first we need to learn the difference between Ni and Ne. There is annoying misconception about Ni that I keep coming across- Ni doesn't care about possibilities and opportunities, as if it's only Ne thing. This is simply false. Ni does care about possibilities, but does it differently from Ne. Have you not wondered why Ni users prefer having vision or some abstract concept to having concrete goal? There is good psychological explanation for that besides MBTI. When you have concrete detailed goal , there is frustratingly limited number of ways achieving it. You feel as if you are too restricted and missing out on opportunities. However, when there is some abstract vision, there are so many ways of fulfilling it. In other words , Ni users love possibilities and opportunities , because it gives them hope and confidence that they will be able to carry out their vision eventually one way or another, hence amazing willpower and laser focus is generated. While Ni focuses on a single vision, Ne is more fragmented and objective , in a sense that it focuses on multiple possible outcomes. However, for each Ne vision there is usually only one way of achieving it. For more clarity , let's compare future planning of Ni and Ne. Ni sees one future , but makes many plans around it for tactical flexibility. Ne envisions all future possibilities for strategical flexibility, but has only one plan for each Ne vision. Both Ni and Ne are adaptable and flexible, it's just Ni prefers tactical flexibility, while Ne likes strategical flexibility. Of course, things won't be strictly like this in practice, but general pattern will look pretty much likes this. Now if we dive deep in Littlefinger's head, we will see that he has singular vision of future, but keeps approaching from different angles to make it work. This is kinda obvious if you look at his love interests. In his youth he was madly in love with Catelyn stark. He wanted her so badly that he even challenged much stronger dude in a duel, which he inevitably lost. But this didn't prevent him from giving up on her. When he grew up Littlefinger started dating her sister Lysa Arren(ugly version of Cat) and after a while he switched to Sansa (upgraded version of Cat). At first glance this may look like as if he is trying out different possibilities, but in reality Littlefinger has been chasing after the same woman all his life and he just can't let it go. This obsession of his always reminded me of Jay Gatsby, a fellow Ni dom. What's more, when I was watching youtube video of GRRM explaining inspirations for each character , it turned out that Littlefinger's character was indeed heavily influenced by Jay Gatsby.
Biografia
Petyr Baelish, nicknamed Littlefinger, was the Master of Coin in the small council of Kings Robert I and Joffrey I Baratheon, Lord of Harrenhal, and Warden of the Vale. He was a skilled manipulator and used his ownership of brothels in King's Landing to both accrue intelligence on political rivals and acquire vast wealth. Baelish's spy network is eclipsed only by that of his arch-rival Varys. Eager to gain power, he orchestrated a huge conflict in Westeros via multiple conspiracies and assassinations, which effectively began the War of the Five Kings that ultimately lead to the destruction of several major houses. He died at Winterfell after being condemned to death by Sansa Stark for his various crimes against humanity, his throat being slit open by Arya Stark.
