I’m currently watching this show with my fiancé and am just in the beginning and haven’t paid complete attention, but if it’s alright, I’d like to do a few “FIRST IMPRESSIONS” comments. CHIEF (?) HOTCHNER - FIRST IMPRESSIONS —> From what I observed, Chief Hotchner is incredibly well-versed in and attentive to specific, precise details, paying attention to every specific component of a given case and keeping track of its practical, applicable relevance— essentially, very strong Si-Te. —> And then I feel Chief Hotchner’s tertiary Fi becomes especially evident in the form of his commitment to the ethics of how cases are handled, such as making a priority of ethically obtaining information that could help make progress in cases; not to mention how he understood and empathized with his coworkers. —> The way I see it— Chief Hotchner is a gigachad that reinforces ISTJ as the gigachad of the MBTI types. —> And then yeah, Enneagram 1 seems to manifest in Chief Hotchner’s serious dedication to his job and the correctness to which it is handled, such as with his making sure to coverall all legal bases with arranging necessary communications between people, such as law enforcement agencies and suspects. —> I think he does present some integrative Type 7-like behaviors as well, because he’s demonstrated to be able enjoy himself with his coworkers; I don’t think I’ve gotten far enough in the show to see warranted narrative beats that would lead Chief Hotchner. —> Furthermore, Chief Hotchner is a gigachad that reinforces Enneagram Type 1 as the uber-gigachad of the Enneagram types; quite simply, he’s been my favorite character so far. Biografia
The stoic leader of the Behavioral Analysis Unit's lead team, a former prosecutor who transitioned to criminal profiling and eventually rose to his current position. Until J.J.'s marriage, he was the only member of the team with a stable home family life for the first few seasons. In Season 12 he goes into witness protection with his son after a serial killer who has it out for him escapes from prison; in Season 13, he resigns from the BAU.
