hi i'm robbie chase md's greatest defender and personal warrior i will save him from the raw slander of being typed as an sp9 because people are insistent on placing him into a box of raw subservience when he's absolutely far more than that. chase is genuinely a shining example of an sx6. sorry not sorry! them's the breaks! just because he's able to integrate effectively into 9 doesn't mean he's a 9. he is ABSOLUTELY NOT A 9. HE STARTS FIRES MORE THAN HE PUTS THEM OUT. he literally does not care about anything else going on within the group in the way a 9 would under any instinct. he literally bolts out of the room or any other situation when it gets uncomfortable and isolates himself. THAT'S NOT A 9 TRAIT, THAT'S A 6 ONE BRO. C'MON, DID WE WATCH THE SAME SHOW? ah yes i also love it when the morally-grey character hate train pins the poor guy as a 9 with a strong 3 in his tritype. nuh uh! that's his disintegration speaking! he wants to be secure, competent, and useful. if he gave an actual damn about success and pure validation, he would shine above the other fellows consistently and with all the force he can muster and work himself to the bone constantly. no, he gets competitive and vindictive and cocky and other 3 signs when he's UNDER STRESS. otherwise he's a confrontational 6 who is willing to be a contrarian, a devil's advocate, etc. he proves himself out of spite, not because it actually matters to him on a deeply fundamental level. conversely, he proves himself because he is genuinely competent and knows damn well what's the truth and will go for it. this is NOT core 3 behaviour, this is someone who is a 6 integrating into 9 (at peace with himself and more self-confident) and someone who is a 6 disintegrating into a 3 (combative and petty). you think someone who is known for not giving a single damn 90% of the time is a 9? you think someone that emotionally guarded is a 9? you think someone that practical, blunt, direct is a 9? no. he's a 6. he's just shown the ability to rise into 9 and fall into 3. that's how it is. literally 8 fits better than 9 does. lol. regarding chase, he doesn't want to be vulnerable and he doesn't know what to believe in and he doesn't want to be unrecognized and he ultimately does not want to be controlled and in pain and uncomfortable. he starts off demotivated and submissive and "whatever" about everything, but readily grows into a more confident man who is willing to go after what he wants because he discovers his worth and ability, and knows he's able to accomplish what he would like to, regardless of what anyone thinks. he FIGHTS with house more than he seeks his approval. he's more willing to stop being a part of house's team than he is to continue proving himself over and over again. he's aware he's a skilled doctor and surgeon; any doubts from that is his 6 talking. that's the difference. he also, on multiple occasions, stepped up to be the leader or the one people turn to for some sort of authority and guidance. he's clearly comfortable with it and is more than capable of being so, even if he doesn't actively seek it out. while his form of taking control and being a leader is more laid-back and benevolent for the sake of others, it's still obvious who's in charge. that being said, he is clearly compassionate and wants to be APPRECIATED more than anything else. he wants to love and be loved in a personal relationship, and he makes himself available to help others simply for the sake of it, taking into account their own values and turning it into something workable and something he genuinely knows or believes will help. he is a sweet boy, just a bit flawed, as we all are. he's mad when house devalues him, not because he doubts himself and feels the need to try harder to make up for it, but because he wants to be appreciated for who he is as a person and for his own individual talents and what he brings to the table innately. with this in mind: my final judgment on his enneagram is that he's an 6sx/sp, 6w5 dominant with a strong 5 wing. his tritype is 682, and those other types with wings are 8w9 and 2w3. maybe i'm biased, maybe i've overthought it, maybe i'm a freak. i don't know. but i will NOT stand idly by while my comfort character with a relatable backstory gets slandered like this.
