(spoilers ahead) About the INFP votes, while I respect your opinion and I do see where you're coming from, I can't help but point out a contradiction in your arguments, which is why I don't think he's an INFP, necessarily: Firstly, I do understand that ISFP tends to have the stereotype of an artist but assuming ISFPs are the Fi doms that cannot express their emotions 'as deeply as INFPs' contradicts your statement that the only reason he's voted as ISFP is due to the fact he is an artist yet he cannot be an ISFP as he's expressing his emotions a lot deeper - which is a stereotype, btw, that ISFPs only express their surface of emotions. The thing about cognitive functions isn't that it's always about the whole entirety of the personality that is builed up off functions - there is a reason why ISFP and INFP are Fi doms and why they are so similar yet completely different. While it's true ISFP are more surface-level when it comes to their insights and perspective, INFPs aren't necessarily 'deeper' than ISFPs as Ne is more on possibilities and imagination rather than analysing and expressing feelings and values, which has nothing to do with intuition. Fi stands for values and personal morals. It doesn't look at rationality or objectivity but it looks at experiences that one has gone through and concluded with those experiences on what they believe to be personally right or wrong. Why am I talking about Fi when the difference between INFP and ISFP is their aux function? Because Xavier hasn't, not even once, displayed strong Ne that can bring people to think "yeah he's definitely an Ne user" - and even if he has, it's not enough to dominate the clear evidence of his Se. I'm speaking on Fi matters because an artist with 'deep emotions' doesn't have to be an intuitive because intuition doesn't correlate with emotions. Intuition is your understanding of the world and how you want to interact with it (which is why it's a perceiving function). Fi on the other hand is a judging function, which handles grounds that have to do with decision-making, your judgement of the world, impersonal/personal logic, and how you react to certain issues. Regarding the Hyde he kept painting, I believe it's something artists call "vent art". I don't really think Xavier actually implemented to add any 'symbolism' into the painting. It's similar to some people who vent into their diary/journal when they're having a bad moment. He had nightmatres so he painted them away due to stress (upon my observation at least). Now here's the thing with Xavier and Se: you can't deny that the moment he couldn't believe Wednesday when she said she saw that Rowan got killed, you can tell he really doesn't believe anything she'll say about it. Why? Because, cognitive function-wise, he saw that Rowan standing, breathing, and living with his own eyes. Se users (well users with Se as their aux or dom function) tend to believe what they see rather than follow baselessly on the words of someone. Their logic is based on the reality of this world and its concrete-ness instead of a theory that doesn't match up with that they saw. Forget about the 'adrenaline junkie' part of Se for a moment since that's not relevant (yeah it's true Xavier does fencing and archery but, seriously, anyone can do sports - heck I do sports once in a while and I'm INTJ). And the moment Xavier believed her, it was when he texted Rowan about the holiday plans they do every year (to which he then realized this wasn't Rowan, thought about what Wednesday, and immediately realized what she said *now* makes sense). "-- She confronted Xavier and told him she was looking for the monster that killed Rowan, to which Xavier expressed his doubt because he saw that Rowan was still alive. Wednesday told her that if he were still alive, he would have called or texted his old roommate Xavier, but he didn’t. When she showed him the whole painting, Xavier told her everything. Xavier told her that he found this book on Rowan’s desk and tried to ask him about it, which caused Rowan to become insane and hurt him using his telekinesis. Though Wednesday already saw everything through her psychic vision. Xavier was perplexed as to how Wednesday could be in this 30-year-old journal and why pilgrim Joseph Crackstone, the founding father of Jericho, was with her in the painting. --" (https://fugitives.com/wednesday-episode-3-recap-and-ending-2022-horror-comedy-series-netflix/) Another time he was puzzled on something was when he saw Wednesday in a 30-year-old journal. She's existing in his time right in front of his eyes. It would make sense for him to confuse himself over this on how someone can time-travel and exist between different timelines (away from this though, I just wanna say, irdk buddy, you tell me how you got sirens, werewolves, even vampires and a shapeshifting principal in your world. anyways back to this).
