𝗔𝗿𝗴𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝟴𝘄𝟳 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 Okay, I don’t feel like there is a need to explain why he is a Se dom because people here see that quite clearly (how he is incredibly impatient and impulsive, literally can’t sit still, needs constant action to feel alive…) so I won’t elaborate more about it. However, I am surprised by the number of users that see him as Fi aux (but I could be wrong). Personally, I don’t see much of it on him, but I would be happy to read some arguments defending that idea. I believe that River will fit better among Ti aux, in many episodes of the seasons we see how logical he can be in even situations of stress. Since the beginning he is always following their own rational ideas trying to find a path to solve their cases, always questioning all the reasons why. His Fe aux can be seen during his interactions with other main characters, how he empathizes with Sid, “friendly” manipulates Ho, worries about Catherine or even feel pity for Lamb once in a while. The inferior Ni shows up in the first episode, specially when he sees no end to his stance in the Slough House as he lives day to day or when he (poorly) tries to connect the dots between the mission assigned by Lamb and actual spy work. Changing the subject, e8 seems accurate for him (at least in my point of view). River hates following orders or feeling controlled by someone (which is kind of strange for a spy, but one of the reasons why I enjoy this character). His mind is something not mean to be controlled, and he wants it that way, and he is not afraid to “bend” a couple of rules when necessary. Wing 7 would make more sense over 9 since there is no way this way follows the calm and passive e9 behavior, also because he tries to evade his troubles by imagining different situations (like when he thinks his work at Slough House is actually worthy someway).
