I always saw him as an Se dom. There isn’t a single judicial argument for his Ne. Being unable to choose between two things isn’t synonymous to having Ne. Seriously, that was the only argument people had for voting him as an Ne dom. what’s even more riveting is the fact that i can utilize this same information to extrapolate an argument for Se. “he likes to live in the moment and get as much stimulation as possible, that’s why he went for both andar and omer.” This is just typing people based off of stereotypes. There weren’t a lot of scenes of him that blatantly depicted whether he was an Ne user or Se user, so that probably must’ve discombobulated a lot of people. Ne is pretty easy to detect in someone, especially in someone who’s an Ne dom. let’s clear something up, Ne isn’t just a function that focuses on possibilities, let’s be honest every type is capable of considering different possibilities. But there is a colossal difference between the possibilities Ne users ponder over and the ones Se users ponder over. The disparity between Ne and Se possibility is that the latter is more pragmatic and works with what’s in its environment/around it. if that doesn’t epitomize Patrick, i don’t know what does. Ne possibility is more abstract and looks beyond its environment. This antithesizes patrick because he just stuck to what was in his surroundings. he didn’t look beyond andar and omer, he chose these two people, and persevered until he got them. That epitomizes Ni/Se usage more than Ne/Si. When Se considers a possibility, it instantly decides that is what it wants, and then immediately takes action. This is what patrick did with Ander the second he saw him. Ne on the other hand, keeps on contemplating that possibility, and then moves on to a different possibility, and this cycle repeats itself.
