INFP. She has very strong internal values and sees other people through the lens of her own emotions (Fi). This, combined with statements such as "When I was a real girl...", her constant reflections on her past with Cassie and her family members, and her dredging up the past when feeling threatened ("Got another girlfriend, Daddy?"; "Did you pick up the phone? No. You didn't. You suck.") are highly suggestive of an Fi-Si loop. Additionally, one of the most fascinating aspects of the book and Lia's perspective is the way she speaks symbolically of the things around her and mundane aspects of everyday life (Emma is a mattress who got thrown off the truck when her parents split up; For one moment we are not failed tests and broken condoms and cheating on essays; we are crayons and lunchboxes and swinging so high our sneakers punch holes in the clouds), which is textbook high Ne. After the major stressor of Cassie's death, and prior to that, that of her parents' divorce, she spirals downward into her eating disorder, which we see throughout the book involves highly specific math and logical (albeit destructive) decisions, such as doctoring the scale, disobeying her parents' wishes, and turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms to feel better.
