Carol Elaine Channing (January 31, 1921 - January 15, 2019) was an American actress, singer, dancer, and comedienne. She was best known for Thoroughly Modern Millie, The First Traveling Saleslady, and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
