She was originally supposed to be an April Fool's joke. Her first song was sung by a real singer, and had nothing to do with UTAU initially. After the prank was over, a real voicebank was recorded and released. Also, she appears as a DLC in the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA series beginning with Project Diva 2. According to the original joke, Teto should be 31 years old. This makes her older than most Vocaloid characters, even though she looks like a young teenager. It's commonly accepted that she's 31 in "chimera years". She tends to be naughty and teases the people she cares about because she doesn't want to be direct about her feelings, but she really isn't an especially angry type like most tsunderes. She's not a total unsympathetic jerk, but she does like when the focus is put on her.
