After working for the spirited anime studio STUDIO4°C, Manabu Ohtsuka participated in the establishment of MAPPA in 2011, and has assumed the role of CEO since 2016. In 2019 he helped found CONTRAIL, Inc., a group company of MAPPA. He has led as animation producer the planning and production of various shows including BANANA FISH, Yuri!!! on ICE, Terror in Resonance, and Kids on the Slope.
