I did watch his recent video about ego and math. The reason why he likes math is actually because it gives him this child like satisfaction which actually gives us the clue to what cognitive attitude is attach to his thinking function which is Ti child. Ti child is pure logic and possesses endless energy to process information. Ti child enjoys processing information and break things down to its core and will diplomatically explain things to other people by guiding other people to what they're thinking thanks to their Fe parent and Te trickster. Te trickster (the shadow of Ti child) although not aware of what other people are thinking can lead to INFJs to explain things from scratch which can be a great starting point for all people from different level of understanding through their Ti child. I would say that he has developed his Ti child and he did say he was lucky enough to have a dad who would play a game that's related to math which makes him think math is like a game which is going to engage his child attitude of his Ti function. He didn't learn math because it was useful or practical reason. Most people overlooked the development of other lower functions because it can happen, well I mean if you read Understanding Yourself and Others, an introduction to personality typecode by linda Berrens and Dr Dario Nardi then you will understand what I'm saying. Also 8 cognitive model from Dr John Beebe. He wants to make math more engaging and fun and trying to make other people get more interested in math which is Fe. Fe is very interest based especially about other people interest and what they like. INFJ also likes to learn what they are interested in so being aware of what they are interested in and what other are interested in, it's easier for him to make educational video that's relevant to other people interest which makes his videos engaging. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duiXyxtC030 This is more proof that he prefers other people to learn math from a people centric point of view (even though the question that was asked is how to learn math on your own). Focuses on what other people are interested and finding a common interest between people is very Fe based approach. He's Ni dom because he wants to explain things in an intuitive way through visuals (Se). I won't go into his interaction style using linda berrens but from what I've seen it matches with the INFJ (Foreseer Developer) interaction style. I can go on and on but that's all I have to say.

Sanderson graduated from Stanford University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in math. He worked for Khan Academy from 2015 to 2016, producing videos about multivariable calculus. After approximately one year, Sanderson quit, focusing full-time on 3Blue1Brown. 3Blue1Brown started as a personal programming project in early 2015. In a podcast of Showmakers, Sanderson explained that he wanted to practice his coding skills and decided to make a graphics library in Python, which eventually became the open-source project "Manim" (short for mathematical animations). To have a goal for the project, he decided to create a video with the library and uploaded it to YouTube. On March 4, 2015, he uploaded his first video. He started to publish more videos and improve the graphics tool.
