There has been two kin lists posted for Kate by the creator (I'll post them in the replies). It is unclear if the new one is an expansion or replacement of the old one. The average type (based on qualities that most overlap for all the characters) for the old kin list might be: 𝘌𝘕𝘍𝘗 (𝘌𝘕𝘍𝘱) 𝘐𝘌𝘌 𝘚𝘟7 (7𝘸6 𝘚𝘟/𝘚𝘖) 749 𝘌𝘓𝘍𝘝* *PY based on typical SX7. No gut type established for Tritype, but 749 is typical for SX7. The average type for the new kin list might be: 𝘐𝘚𝘍𝘗 (𝘐𝘚𝘍𝘫) 𝘌𝘚𝘐 𝘚𝘟4 (4𝘸3 𝘚𝘟/𝘚𝘖) 471 𝘌𝘍𝘝𝘓* *PY based on typical SX4. Tritype average would be 479, but that is typically considered incompatible with SX4—471 or 478 would be more likely. _________________________________________________ 𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗬𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 & 𝗘𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: If we are basing Kate's type on the new kins only, then ESI SX4 seems more likely, but I am inclined to think that the new list is More so hinting at Kate evolving into a more jealous, frustrated, prone to anger character than before. This character quality does not necessarily contradict IEE SX7, as jealousy and dissatisfaction can be experienced by many types, not just Sx4s, and sx7 are also prone to frustration and sometimes aggression similar to SX4. Kate has always had a characterisation as a 'nerd', and I find IEE sx7, a head type with Ne base, to fit that archetype better than SX4. It is also possible that Kate has evolved into a more IEE kind of character due to the pairing with Alex (a pretty clear cut SLI Sp9.) It is possible the creator has (unintentionally of course) adjusted Kate over time to compliment Alex, leading the characters into a duality dynamic. I also find that the depictions of Kate in the future depict him as fairly extroverted and expressive (of positive emotions in particular), much more than I'd expect for a typical SX4 (which is still an E4, a withdrawn type.) I might even consider Sp2 ESE as a possible type for Kate, which is the more shy and self doubting E2 subtype which can also be prone to jealousy similar to SX4 and sx7. Kate's future career was also said to be a social worker which is suits IEE SX7 quite well with NeFi egos general optimism and potential seeking in people. I think the depictions of older Kate overall point away from ESI, making that sociotype seem less likely regardless of SX4 vs sx7. Also, Kate has been described as 'bubbly', 'eccentric' and a 'manic pixie dream girl' by the creator, which is exactly the ENFP/IEE SX7 stereotype. "𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘚𝘟4 𝘐𝘌𝘌/𝘌𝘕𝘍𝘗?" This combination is often considered dubious as SX4 does not hold any qualities that indicate Ne base, and E4 overall relates to Fi Base very well. Some of the traits that appear shared between these two subtypes could also be explained as general teen angst, which might relate to Kate well as he appears more happy and chill in his older years according to the creators drawings. Therefore, I am inclined to believe the balance between these two kin lists would be an IEE sx7 with a strong 4 fix (double—or even triple frustration Tritype), and if it's possible, 3V in psychosophy (ELVF.)
