Introduced in Season 15, Kasie Hines is a forensic science graduate student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where Ducky is guest teaching. She stands out as a protege, which is one of the reasons why Ducky hired her as his graduate assistant for compiling and authoring his forensic medicine book. This budding friendship lets her make her way to the NCIS headquarters, where Kasie proves herself highly valuable and easily becomes friends with Team Gibbs.
