I honestly really love him in the movies. Of course, he's absolutely unbearable in the first film(hilarious though), and unironically showcases textbook sociopathic traits. But all three films showcase him learning from his mistakes and harmful mentality, and by the time you get to Dog Days he's a normal, sympathetic character who I ended up relating a lot to in the long run. His growth overall is super well done, and it kind of irks me whenever people dog on his character as if he hasn't... grown up... you know the entire point of the movies.
