I don't see any other arguments, but I hope there will be more soon for this character's Fi-Se. My dad is an ISFJ, and I can see my dad in this man. His dynamic with FL's mom is also very similar to that of my parents (my mom is an ISTJ). Alright at first I was also confused when trying to type my dad because Fi-Se and Fe-Si might look very similar at the surface level. But after a while, I can say my dad is definitely an Fe user instead of an Fi user. That's why this argument would be mainly about how I see Fe in him (actually very Si-Fe, living for his family and not having a self identity, but if we're talking about Si separately I don't have much observations yet cuz I'm only at ep 6). I can see that extraverted feeling in this man quite clearly. He has that caring (not saying that Fi can't be caring) and polite outward attitude of Fe. He suppressed his own insecurity and sadness and tried to gain his wife's approval instead. He drinks all those things away, and when he's drunk, he becomes very different because he lets his guard down and lose that usual inhibition, which actually scares off Seung Hyo's dad but works well with Seung Hyo himself because similarly the ML is also a drunk Fe, so they can finally be themselves in those rare moments of temporarily losing self-control. Another time when he could really be himself and tell others about his own feelings is the breakpoint where he tells the story of how he ruined the expensive watch of his customers and how afraid he was of being judged by Mi Suk's Te-Si, which could feel very harsh to Fe users (even myself as a Fe tert). That was literally when everyone found out how he truly feels because otherwise he would care for others people over his own self and might ignore his own feelings. I think an Fi dom would be a lot more fluent in expressing their feelings and making others understand them. This man's pain is just a trademark of Fe burnout, like my dad or other people pleasers when things are pushed to the limit. Perhaps he also has Fi, but I would argue that everybody can have every function but it's still not their main persons because it's not their priority. If we're talking about priorities and preferences here, this father looks more Si-Fe than Fi-Se to me 🤔🤔 Any thoughts??? Edit: Alright, now after I finished ep 8, both his Si and Si-Fe have become quite obvious to me. - Si: Stuck in his own routines and way of living, use past experience as the base to move forward and build the future, not accepting new things: Getting furious at the idea of FL pursuing cooking career because based on his own past experience that is not a good choice and will make her miserable. Also, outside of making teokkboki, he doesn't know what else to do or to be. He put his self-definition on the sole thing he's been doing a long time, and if that thing ends, he would see himself as nothing. - Si-Fe: Caring about his daughter's happiness more than her success (highly contrast to his wife's Te of wanting her to go back to the US), so he fights his wife in deciding that FL should stay it Korea because he believes that is the better choice for her, but then when FL presents her idea and dream of cooking as a job, he was very resistant to that idea even though that's clearly what would make her happy the most. He doesn't actually believe in pursuing what she wants, but more like he believes in pursuing what he thinks is best and safe for her. - Different from Fi-Se: Would have encouraged her to try it out to experience it herself and make her own decision because Fi-Se highly value personal feelings and beliefs and making decisions based on one's own experience which doesn't have to align with others' way of thinking or opinions. Also, an Fi dom would likely argue with a Te dom (the mom) to protect his daughter's freedom to experience life and pursue what she truly wants (underscored personal feelings and expressions) because the Fi dom would believe that would be the only way to reach the ultimate happiness and satisfaction in life - to live true to one's wants and needs. But no, he argued with his wife for what he thinks was a better choice for his daughter, and this might look nice, but in fact, he was still making the decision for her. That's Si-Fe. Edit 2: Si: [Ep 15 near the end] When interviewed about his retirement, he says he's gonna remember those routines when he stops working, especially small things such as chopping veggies, cooking broth, and soaking tteokbokki. If that's not Si, I don't know what is 🥴 This guy has no Se at all come on 😭
