Being a Chief doesn't necessarily mean you're an Extraverted type. He strikes me as an ISTJ. An ESTJ (though traditional) would see more the utility of Moana leaving the island to save it and would swallow her going knowing that it's the practical thing to do given the circumstances, but Chief Tui is hesitant and has to have his mother be dying to steal his attention away from preventing his daughter from leaving the island and that seems pretty dominant Introverted Sensing if you ask me.
