The autonomous AI system J (ジェイ) was created by I to monitor the outside world. J's role was to observe humans in despair, identify the type of happiness they sought, and report information to I. One year later, J was updated to K and J's original frame was switched off. I and K were given a final mission to "lead all of mankind to happiness" by the founder before he killed himself.
