Koob was a Klatooinian male member of the Stinger Mantis crew and friend of Cal Kestis, who he met on Norsid. After a Haxion Brood bounty hunter had gotten the drop on the Jedi, he and his twin sister, Lizz, saved him by throwing the hunter down a mine shaft, subsequently becoming close friends with Kestis.
