Perfectly evident if we compare him to L. L was very limited on his Ti, but he still uses Fe to play that goofy character and to keep people in the fog. <—> Near however has blind Fe, and compensates with Te and Fi. He straight up tells Mogi that he’s “unnecessary” to the investigation and makes it clear to Light that he thinks he’s Kira and that his actions are despicable. That’s blunt Te and Fi moral code of sincerity. He’s also much more pragmatic and opinionated. - L had a step by step approach, with concrete logical coherence, Near uses intuition and hunches a lot. Even his name means that: Near, because he’s near the solution but can’t catch it (at least that’s what the writer said). His Ni has a finger on it the whole time, but he’s always still “looking for something”, which in the end Mello gave him. The extra data to defeat Light. - I also like how his toys and buildings always symbolize his thought process. That’s Ni projecting the abstract data into real objects so that it can operate on them. Clear INTJ, and not the same as L, despite of what people say.

Nate River (ネイト=リバー, Neito Ribā), better known as Near (ニア, Nia) is the younger of L's two successors, raised in Wammy's House—Watari's orphanage for gifted children in Winchester, England. Near is very intelligent, although his childish appearance and demeanor can cause others to question his abilities. He has an obsession with solving complex problems and views an investigation as solving a puzzle. He is highly observational and proficient when it comes to multitasking. Despite his genius abilities, Near has low social knowledge and is bad at interacting with others. Near is also calm and stable. Yet, he is also rather devious and isn't above using tactics that are "barely within the law," as he "values results above all else."
