EDIT: Nah They're ET(S) actually. Still e1 though. Argument pending I Promise Si-Ne: Paintbrush often maintains consistent and reliable efforts for their goals. They take a sensible and ‘pragmatic approach’ to most challenges, and usually work off of other people for creative ventures. They place great value on being responsible and doing things in a straightforward way. We see this through their clashes with Lightbulb and Fan mostly. They regarded Lightbulb as not having focused enough efforts and being unreliable. Because of that, they couldn’t truly collaborate with Lightbulb for a long time. Fan ticks off the irrational box however, since he tries to rationalize his behaviour to them, unlike Lightbulb. They’re both doing their own thing, but Fan frames it like it ‘makes sense’ to do so, which Lightbulb never bothers with. This seems to be why Paintbrush only dismisses Lightbulb while getting loudly upset with Fan’s excuses. Compared to... really their entire team, but Fan especially, they’re the most willing to take the show at face value. Every one of the 5 main lights have disregarded the parameters at least once except for them. “We can’t just leave! ...Can we?” Te-Fi: Their Te is really easy to point out. Competitive, good work ethic, efficient, can be inflexible in pursuit of goals, it’s all there. What’s more interesting is why I believe their Fi is tertiary. They struggle with employing efficiency just for the sake of it, because they wish to be valued and appreciated for their efforts. More often than not, their anger and frustration builds up when their efforts go unnoticed and taken for granted. This is why their anger is usually directed at those on their team, since underlying loyalty is at the centre of the feelings. Their outbursts can be destructive enough to get on everyone’s bad side, which they know all too well by ep12. From that episode, we know they want to contribute meaningfully and be validated as such. Though they’re often stuck in their own way of showing it, of doing things, of managing stress. All of this ties to their difficulty with expressing themself properly. They just feel unable to, whether it’s their emotions or identity. They don’t know how to address it, or who would even care to listen at this point. That is until Lightbulb comes along! The two of them actually have some common ground here. They both struggle with expressing theirselves authentically while still being liked and appreciated by others. The way they find that within each other makes me😢🤕🤕😢🤕 thank you ep12 for my life 1w2: This is the one part that justified an ‘argument,’ but I noticed some votes for e8 and wanted to look into that! They might come across like an 8 occasionally, but those extreme moments are the result of their 1 motivations. Think again of how their outbursts are directed towards those they collaborate with. They want to correct the approaches their teammates take, to convince them of the ‘right way.’ Consider that they’ve only really blown up on Fan and MePhone for disregarding their efforts, or otherwise not taking them seriously. I think an 8 would have a different approach entirely, or at least be more intentional about it. Even when taking over a whole team, and all but saying they made the best leader, it’s not out of holding onto authority. They just had an easier time convincing their team to follow along in those instances. In fact, it’s telling that they even went around and rationalized the way things turned out at all. “Someone had to do it,” it was out of necessity, the route they took. I’m sure they’d support any cooperative leader now, since they push people to do their best. Also that one part in ep11, “You get that you were wrong, right?” “Apology accepted! Now we’re back on track!” confused me until I looked into enneagram!! The 1w2 ever!!!
