not seeing the INFJ perspective at all, the very chaotic and indiscernible nature of Yin speaks to Ne, not Ni. Outside of MBTI, if you understand what intuition (introverted) in a Lacanian/Freudian context, you will actually find that Ni is really quite Yang—as the ability to “name” or group sensory objects and experiences, to give them structure and meaning (not to be confused with Si, which is finding inherent but also endless meaning in the objects/experiences themselves). It is not flexible. In the Abrahamic creation myth, this is what Adam was tasked with by God—to use what is essentially Se-Ni. Which leads me to my next point: it’s important for everyone to realize that every type uses it’s inferior function SIMULTANEOUSLY with it’s dominant. They are never isolated functions. So Yang, which is concretely Se, should imply that Ni is inseparably a Yang trait, as well. As for judgement, Fe and Te both respond to their material/social/cultural environment, so it doesn’t really make sense for Yin to be a xxxJ type. For that reason I would argue INTP is a good representation of Yin, as well.

Yin and yang is a Chinese philosophical concept that describes opposite but interconnected forces. In Chinese cosmology, the universe creates itself out of a primary chaos of material energy, organized into the cycles of yin and yang and formed into objects and lives. Yin is the receptive principle, seen in all forms of change and difference such as the annual cycle (winter), the landscape (north-facing shade), sexual coupling (female), the formation of both men and women as characters and sociopolitical history (disorder).
