Why I personally think Ali is an e4, specifically sp4: So see throughout the series, Ali has shown to rely on love and recognition to boost his sense of worth and ego Such as in movie 2 where people applauded when they revealed the secret SATRIA project, and after that he became more and more arrogant, as well as defensive Oh and in season 1 where he folded INSTANTLY (not in a weird way) when villains complimented him even if it was sarcastic (sp4s tend to want others to compliment them as strong and resilient) He is also shown throughout the series to have a sense of unworthiness, often trying to compensate it by trying to fit in, be good, improve and show that he is a worthy agent that doesn't rely on IRIS (well in later series) But IRIS was also part of his identity and he tried to compensate his failure by utilizing IRIS and heavily depending on it sp are quite narcissistic with their physical safety As well as in the start of season 1 where he drowns his pains out through physical enjoyments (prolly cuz of his e9 fix which is influenced by his sp Dom) And since at the end of the day, they are e4s, they will have their own strong personal values where they will follow their own values and course and criticize those they deemed as against it... fi tends to be against logic when it goes against their values and emotions. and guess what suits fi the most: e4 why he isn't an sx4, which is the archetype for ISFP He isn't superior, in fact he often sees himself as inferior, but tries to compensate it by being resilient and helping the group instead of wallowing in negativity like a so4 would, which makes him appear like an so9 (ik cuz I mistyped myself as so9 before as an sp4) How does he see himself as inferior E4s tend to want to appear superior when they disintegrate to e2 and Ali is often seen to want to help others and be loved when he disintegrates and whatever he does is to be loved and help others. He is also often seen complaining and giving into his emotions many times in season 2 and movie 1 and thinking that he is never enough, which is not like an e2. He only appears like an e2 because of his so called ego but his motivation stems from a sense of lack and inferiority like an e4, and he constantly tries to compensate by being resilient and working hard. If he is a so9, he would have tried to avoid his emotions by helping others and giving you the group further, but instead he wallows in his emotions until someone supports him to get up again.
