after a long consideration I've come to the conclusion that she's 5 core with a 3 fix (5w6-3w4-1w9). i thought she was a 3 for most of the book but i still debated her being 5 or 6 and thought about her being a gut type too but i think it's mainly her Ni-Te (mainly Te) that naturally makes her look like a 3. I'd say her 3 fix jumps out when it comes to academic and parental validation but overall she's a 5 that doesnt care about other people's opinions, especially of those she's not close with, and wants to be self sufficient, competent. what bugged me was that she's also quite similar to 3s and especially Te user type 3s - quite ambitious, defines self by what they do, afraid of failure but overall i think that she's just a TJ 5 whose Te/3 characteristics are more amplified due to her life (her parents basing her worth on how successful she can be and having to compete with her sister her whole life). also i think that her Te-Fi are her most obvious functions, probably because theyre decision making functions and Te being an extroverted function will be more visible than Ni, her dom function.
