Edit 12/04: At first glance, he can come across as INTJ because of stereotypes, but I think he’s a solid example of Si-dom. He makes predictions based on consciously collected data and doesn’t believe in anything blindly, but trusts his own observation skills and analytic mindset. He decides to cut ties with his past, but his future orientation is just a consequence of Te’s judgement: he’s deeply affected by his experience and the subjective perception attached to it, but doesn’t want to repeat the same mistakes/failures/disappointments (exposing his vulnerabilities and being taken advantage of -> Si-Fi loop). This relationship with personal experience becomes even more evident when he avoids dwelling on unpleasant memories, while placing a lot of symbolic importance on the moments spent with Friedrich: glances, words, details, which he often recalls, they all have their special – and personal – meanings. Inferior Ne helps him see possibilities and alternatives (especially in strategic settings) and eventually act on them if needed. When he feels lost, he becomes worried, suspicious and paranoid, and begins picturing worst-case scenarios in his head (Ne grip). The Te-Fi axis is also quite obvious: he strives to make the most rational decision, often putting his personal feelings aside, but gradually becomes more aware of them.
