Gruesome Lullabies

Gruesome Lullabies is a series that gives insight into mental health literacy in teenagers through the use of supernatural abilities. Students at an elite academy experience a genetic and neurological mutation caused by the overproduction of oxytocin in the hypothalamus. Oxytocin is a a relief hormone that is produced during pregnancies and instances of stress, the mutation and supernatural abilities come from the mutation of this as the brain has lost all ways to help the lessor properly. This mutation, after overworking the hypothalamus, starts making genetic changes. An example would be somebody who is stressed about being overworked inhibiting an ability that makes them work more effectively or somebody insecure about their weight becoming much smaller. The story follows a young girl and her friends in their student council becoming infected with this mutating disorder and attempting to stop it, her name is Ena Shina.
